Description
Brighton & Hove is fringed with The Deans. Dean (or Dene) means: valley. The valleys around, and between, The Downs. The Deans were once home to isolated farms and tiny villages, but post-war have been developed residentially to form the urban edges of this seaside city.
‘DeanLand’ embraces the frontier-spirit of these peripheral places and, in a bold graphic style, celebrates the Edgeland.
This pack of six postcards includes Hollingdean, Bevendean, Woodingdean, Ovingdean, Rottingdean and Saltdean.
